Within our executive team alone we have over 50 years combined transport industry experience, so we fully understand the challenges facing transport operators!

We work with over 250 blue chip clients and many clients of smaller size in every sector and lead the way with our suite of Transport Resource Management (TRM) solutions. By integrating key data from the many applications used in the transport office, our TRM solutions assist clients with added-value decision making.

Our ethos is to provide fast, quality compliance management solutions which add real value and are extremely cost effective. We develop all software in-house and its through our commitment, drive and experience that we forge such long-term relationships with clients. 

Director Biographies

Terry Ramsey – Managing Director, TruTac Ltd

Terry Ramsey joined TruTac as Operations Director in April 2006 and was promoted to Managing Director in May 2009. Terry has over 16 years experience in the haulage industry working for Wickes Building Supplies at both HDC and NDC, Merlin Distribution, Lloyd Fraser and more recently at Lane Group plc. During his career he has held positions of Transport Manager, Contract Manager, and Distribution Centre Manager and finished his five year tenure at Lane's as General Manager responsible for various depots and dedicated contracts.

Terry’s experience and in-depth knowledge means he understands the challenges facing the haulage industry and has a passion in delivering answers to solve them. As Operations Director, Terry made a huge impact on day to day running of TruTac's Customer Services Department by delivering consistent high levels of customer service and dramatically improving issue resolution times. He is focused on engendering a real belief in customer service at all levels.

John Bartlett - IT Director, TruTac Ltd

John Bartlett was appointed to the role of IT Director at TruTac in August 2007. Since then John has joined the Executive Board of TruTac, further strengthening the senior management team.  John has made a tremendous difference since joining the Company.  John is focussed on the product specification improvements and the huge project of developing the new suite of Transport Resource Management (TRM) integrated solutions.

John was previously IT Director with Lane Group plc, the Bristol-based transport and home delivery specialist. John has an in-depth knowledge of the sector, its needs and challenges. Before joining Lane Group in 1999, John was freelancing as a consultant specialising in business analysis. Most of his career has been spent in systems design and development either as a hands-on designer, technical team manager or consultant to organisations as diverse as Tyco Electronics Corp, London Stock Exchange and Andersen Consulting.

Chris Telfer - Sales & Marketing Director, TruTac Ltd

Chris joined TruTac in August 2003. Chris’s experience and in-depth knowledge means he understands the challenges facing the haulage industry and has a passion in delivering answers to solve them. This passion is evidenced in the focused investment and product development programme of TRM which Chris is an advocate of. This programme has already dramatically improved services and products, increasing customer value over and above pure compliance.

The success in these areas and Chris's experience in the telematics sector has acted as the catalyst for diversification into emerging markets and Chris is a firm believer in supporting these future growth areas. Prior to TruTac Chris worked for Kinlara Consulting and Metapath Software International (MSI). Prior to MSI he was the General Manager of a solutions business for Siemens Business Services where he completed a mini MBA Entrepreneurial Development Program.
