| News & EventsTRUTAC SELL DIGIPOST PRO TruTac are pleased to announce they are now recommended suppliers for the Tachosys product range and are currently promoting the digipostpro with an enticing special discount. The digipostpro and a digivu package normally retails at £595 +VAT but for August and September only TruTac are selling them at a discounted price of £525 +VAT saving £75 off the RRP!

Jemma James, TruTac’s General Manager said “The digipostpro and the digivu make downloading and transferring driver and vehicle data to TruTac easier than ever before. As the unit can work in almost any location it greatly simplifies data management and logistical issues which previously tested operators with remote sites.”

Transport Management Made Easy By TruTa TruTac now provide on-demand, web solutions with modular capability which are easy to use, reliable and cost-effective.
Recent customer feedback on V8 re-enforces the systems simplicity and turnaround times “I just thought I would tell you how easy the system is to use, and how impressed I was with turnaround times. Thanks very much, I am suitably impressed and happy to pass TruTac’s details to anyone else I know who may be looking for a solution to their tacho issues” - Tony Christie, MD of T Christie Transport.
V8 not only offers anywhere, anytime access to tachograph data and high level management reporting but also offers significant operational efficiencies through its new Graduated Penalty Report. The Report is based on recent graduated penalty laws and calculates what the penalty would have been if the driver was stopped. The value can be £60, £120 or £200 depending on the severity of the infringement. TruTac has found showing drivers the financial reality of their behaviour has reduced infringements. This provides considerable cost savings for drivers and also for operators, who see infringement levels drop.
Another new product is their Time and Attendance System known as TAS. TAS is unique because it uses digital driver tachograph cards to clock in and out, completely removing the need for a separate time and attendance system. TAS can be used for non driving staff as well and utilises inexpensive card readers making the system far cheaper to purchase and run than traditional ones. TAS is the only system to combine clocking data for manual duties with tachograph data giving a complete record of working time. The system is the only one which has been VOSA approved for fulfilling the role of recording manual duties for working time.

TRUTAC TARGETS TRAINING AND GROWTH TruTac, the software and tachograph specialists have announced major growth plans, including new products and services as a result of recent key investment. The investment group led by highly regarded Cazenove Capital Management have selected TruTac due to their client base, innovative product range and future plans.
Announcing the investment Terry Ramsey, TruTac MD said “This investment demonstrates confidence in us and our products. We recently launched TruControl V8, our web based analysis solution with excellent results and we will soon be releasing other products including telematics and fuel and emissions solutions.”
The Graduated Fixed Penalty Management Report is another example of TruTac’s innovation. This report highlights the infringement and calculates the potential cost if the driver had been issued a fixed penalty notice. This valuable manager’s tool is just one of many new products which focus on reducing costs and management workload while increasing operational efficiencies.
Ramsey continues “We have expanded our training and services range, as we aim to be a ‘one-stop’ shop for transport operators. We have now launched our Driver CPC courses, O licence audits and abnormal indivisible load training. We want to deliver high quality services at cost-effective prices.”
TruTac is working closely with a number of industry specialists to deliver these services. This provides an alternative to traditional high priced providers who only offer discounted services to ‘tied-in’ members. TruTac provides independent training and services flexible to operators business needs.
Jemma James, General Manager at TruTac adds “During difficult economic conditions, we saw some providers offering cheap analysis where operators have to enter centre field data and then do their own analysis, this can increase admin costs, risks data quality and compliance validity. New customers have chosen us based on our ethos of delivering independent quality analysis, data integrity and compliance peace of mind.”
TRUTAC NOW OFFER DRIVER CPC TRAINING TruTac the market leading tachograph and software supplier are now offering accredited Driver CPC training courses and full o'licence auditing services. Courses start from as little as £75 + VAT and auditing prices are lower than industry averages. Contact Jemma James jemma.james@trutac.co.uk. TRUTAC TELEMATICS PARTNERSHIP LEADS THE WAY The Vehicle Telematics System (VTS) is not just vehicle tracking. It utilises intelligent vehicle based technology, which dynamically connects the vehicle with the office for transmission of key performance data, including digital tachograph and other vital information.
Within VTS, exception based reporting identifies ineffective drivers or vehicles and highlights cost saving areas. VTS takes account of target levels for fuel usage and cost, flagging up exceptions and trends through simple visual displays and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). VTS can be used in any transport environment because it is a manufacturer and model independent solution, which is fully configurable to specific client requirements and operating styles.
TMS2 were the perfect partner for TruTac in developing the VTS solution because their products also focus on providing managers with the information they need to help them eradicate operational inefficiencies, minimise administration and deliver a quantifiable improvement to the bottom line. TruTac and TMS2 will harness existing telematics technology to dynamically download and analyse tachograph data from vehicles in transit. This will integrate with telematics data and provide a 360 degree view of both driver and vehicle.
The added value is derived from the data gathered by the system, allowing managers to address specific fleet and customer service issues, improve their business operations and maintain market advantage. Correct system use drives down operating costs and improves quality of service as it delivers greater flexibility when responding to change quickly.

BP OIL CHOOSE TRUCONTROL TruTac are proud to announce BP Oil have chosen the TruControl Compliance Management system across their 13 UK Terminals. The in-depth selection process involved various selection stages and criteria tests.
BP Oil decided on TruControl because of the ease of use, quality of reporting and TruTac’s fitness as a long term partner of BP. One of the key advantages of TruControl was the driver infringement module which allows for the tracking and auditing of offending drivers and recording praise for good performance.
In order to fully understand BP Oil operations, Darren Dawson, Kingsbury Terminal Manager, agreed TruTac should have first hand experience of BP Oil’s transport business. As a result, Gerard Kerbegian, TruTac Business Development Manager spent a day out in a BP Oil Tanker.
Before going out in a vehicle transporting dangerous goods, Gerard had to undertake ADR training to become an official crew member. Gerard stated ‘my head was buzzing with the amount of crucial information I received’. Gerard found the day an unforgettable experience and would like to thank all of the BP Oil Kingsbury Terminal crew.
TRUTAC LAUNCH UNIQUE SYSTEM TruTac, a leading UK compliance management company, have launched a unique Time and Attendance System (TAS). The system utilises digital driver cards and seamlessly integrates with digital and analogue tachograph data, personnel and payroll systems. TAS increases the accuracy of working time management, whilst lowering administration costs within and beyond the transport office.
According to John Bartlett, TruTac IT Director ‘TAS was built in response to client demand and has been developed in conjunction with a major 3PL. Digital driver cards are dipped into standard low-cost readers and non-driving staff can be issued similar cards to provide time and attendance records for all. TAS gives an accurate view of all employees and drivers at any one time, giving complete control over WTD and rostering.’
Chris Telfer, TruTac Managing Director, adds ‘TAS gives immediate and tangible benefits at all levels of workforce management. TAS eliminates unnecessary admin costs, improves time management and allows managers to see resources available and re-deploy when and where required, to ensure schedules are met. Instant and secure access to HR records ensures TAS becomes a powerful management reporting tool.’
TAS provides reductions in workforce costs while improving the effectiveness of the distribution function and increasing customer service. TAS uses the latest touch screen technology and is a strategic addition to the functionality available in their TruControl analysis solution.
TAS is just one module within TruTac’s Transport Resource Management (TRM) suite of new transport office solutions. Each module can stand alone or integrate with others to provide a 360 degree view of total fleet performance and compliance information.
