Operators use TruAnalysis for Earned Recognition pilot
TruTac, the fleet compliance software experts, have announced an enthusiastic take up of its recently introduced Earned Recognition reporting features.
TruTac attribute their earned recognition success to a close working relationship with the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) and the fact they do not charge customers any extra fees for being part of the pilot. Unlike competitors, TruTac include earned recognition reporting as a standard feature for all customers at no extra cost.
Earned recognition is a new way for vehicle operators to prove they meet driver and vehicle standards. Pilot participants voluntary agree to regularly share performance information with the DVSA and in return, their vehicles are stopped less for inspections.
Earned Recognition will be accredited to operators who record and submit data which satisfies key performance indicators relevant to vehicle maintenance and drivers’ hours.
To take part in the voluntary pilot, operators must have an IT system which can monitor the set parameters and report back to the DVSA every 4 weeks to inform if any KPIs have been missed. In turn, in the event of any significant deviation, DVSA will work with the operators to rectify the issue.
Unveiled this year at the CV Show, TruTac’s new software, TruAnalysis, comprises reporting packages which allow operators to easily monitor and manage all compliance aspects for tachograph data, including earned recognition.
Additionally, the system has innovative features to help manage daily tasks and reduce transport office administration, including;
TruDocument is for secure, online document management and storage. It enables operators to attach documents to individual drivers or calendar entries, minimises paper and provides a clear audit trail for compliance records.
eSignLive for secure digital signature capture of both drivers and managers during debriefing sessions to reduce paperwork and provide a secure, compliance audit trail.
And finally, TruChecks, daily vehicle walk-around checking app, with bold graphics and templates for easy – to – manage reporting. Completed checks are instantly viewable by the transport office to enable real-time and accurate vehicle management and defect rectification.
“This is the coming together of two key elements,” explains Terry Ramsey, MD at TruTac. “On the one hand, the Earned Recognition pilot is a superb initiative enabling operators to maintain high standards, while benefiting from reduced admin’ and fewer vehicle inspections, while on the other, TruAnalysis provides a simple-to-implement software package which facilitates all the requisite data – both for the DVSA and audit records.”
The Earned recognition pilot applies to both HGV and PSV operator licences will, through fewer road-side checks and sharing performance information, help the DVSA to focus resources on repeat non-compliant offenders.
