TruTac, the compliance and tachograph software experts hosted an Earned Recognition ‘drop-in’ session on their stand during the last day of the CV Show, following the official Show launch by the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency).

In the company of both DVSA and SilkThread, the award-winning operator licence management system provider, the TruTac team presented their ‘fully interactive’ Earned Recognition dashboard. Featuring full drill-down and intuitive graphical data, which customers can use free-of-charge to benchmark their own performance against Earned Recognition key performance indicators.

E.R. rewards operators who regularly share fleet performance information with the DVSA, regarding drivers’ hours and vehicle maintenance compliance. TruTac provide market leading software for fast and accurate tachograph data analysis, management and reporting.

Roger Dent, Earned Recognition Product Specialist from DVSA was busy answering operators’ questions at the drop-in session and was highly impressed by the amount of interest and uptake.

Roger said “I am pleased with the take up of Earned Recognition and proud with the way industry leaders are welcoming the standard. Earned Recognition has proved to me, both as an individual and an industry professional that UK operators are as passionate about road safety as the DVSA.”

Roger continued “The uptake so far has been wonderful, and we will maintain the momentum by ensuring everyone involved in road transport recognise that the E.R. standard is there to drive compliance, which equals safer roads for all.”

For example, Lucketts Travel were the first PSV operator to join the pilot and were thanked by the DVSA at the launch. Lucketts are proud users of TruTac’s software and use the system to monitor and report all relevant data for E.R. as well as complete compliance control.

“We had a superb response from a number of customers who are already participating in the scheme” says Jemma James, TruTac Commercial Director, “and many others who simply wished to find out how to benchmark themselves against the E.R. standards.”

Ruth Waring, MD at SilkThread said “We fully support Earned Recognition and are proud to be approved auditors for the standard. Both our audits and our Earned Recognition Module within SilkThread guide operators through the compliance maze; helping to manage both processes and activities for greater compliance control.”

Also featured on the TruTac stand were a number of new software developments aimed at improving compliance and fleet control for operators in the HGV and PCV sectors:
TRULINKS: a new high-level API management service for smooth data integration between TruTac’s products and any other system where data share provides multiple management benefits.

DRIVER CALENDAR IMPORT: a new data import function for CSV (Comma Separated Values) files from other systems direct into the driver calendar for complete WTD management.

DIVISIONS: a new division management feature to simplify larger fleet management and reporting. Fast and accurate regional reporting with sub-levels for greater KPI monitoring and control.

GDPR: Improved password protection and change enforcement procedures. Including extra data encryption protection for GDPR full compliance.

Jemma James adds “The show was a great success for us and it was a pleasure to provide so many friends, old and new, with important information regarding Earned Recognition, while unveiling new compliance control solutions from TruTac.”
